What is the best time? Have they done a study on this? Have you studdied this? I know nighttime is not a good time. But what is the best time?

FWIW, it's a long weekend and many people are away from their computers. It might be a good time to scour ebay for some deals

I usually have good success with ending my auction around 6-730 PM Pacifc, SUnday through Thursday.

Start time doesn't matter, unless you're calculating that the auction will end at the same time of day?

The best time for an auction to end is 7pm, pacific time, on Sunday. That's 10pm on the east coast, early enough that potential buyers don't have to stay up late watching their auction, but late enough on the west coast to catch people after supper.

Yes, that was my logic.

So you think most folks will be scouring Ebay after dinner, eh? Not during work?

The big question is, is it worth the .10 cents to schedule it to end around seven.

I bet for most items it is..

In my experience, it's been well worth it.

EDIT: not during work, too scared of netowrk admins watching what they're doing. That fear may not be justified, but it is a factor.
