Please help, I need to transfer files from an old laptop with win 98 to my Desk top with win XP.What is the best software for this Mission.

are they networked? if so windows explorer is all U really need. Robocopy is cool too (free download from MS)

if they are not networked I would suggest picking up one of those $5 adapters so U can put your notebook harddrive in your PC, then just copy the files over.

If your talking about transfering settings and stuff too, then use the XP files and settings transfer wizard.
