I have to send out my resume to a bunch of companies soon and I was wondering what type of paper I should use. My Career Services office told me to use bond paper of some sort, does anyone have any suggestion as to what type, color, etc? Thanks.

Resume paper. It is a thicker paper usually beige/ivory in color.

Well, on the Officemax.com website, it has a category for resume paper, but a bunch of different brands and types like:

White Royal Linen Paper
Copper 80 Sheet Parchment Paper
Natural Parchment Paper

What gives?

Don't use parchment paper, that's just annoying. I prefer at least %50 cotton, ultra white. Not only is this better quality paper, it's really bright and stands out in a pile of resumes! :)

Speaking from my short time in Human Resources, you're better off going with something plain. Bright white, 24lb stock. No fancy crap, no linens, no color. When someone is going through a few hundred resumes at a sitting, the color and stuff just ends up looking cheesy. Make it short, simple, to the point. You're more likely to portray a business-like image.
