What is the best over-the-counter Pain Killer? For just general aches and pains...(no women stuff). Also aside from that, whats the strongest over-the-counter Pain Killer?

I personally think it's excedrin, but advil is a really close call. For everyday aches and pains tho, aspirin is good. I guess it really is a matter of what you have a tolerance to.

Advil for me but my friend prefer Aleve.
Excedrin is for headache, works within 10 minutes.

technically its going to be robitussin AC (codeine) but not too many pharmacies sell robitussin AC over the counter. I think its going to be either naproxen (aleve) or ibuprofen (motrin, advil)

I swear by Saridon, it's the best. It doesn't cause the loss of concentration at all unlike that bad Panadol does. Saridon all the way baby! I use it whenever I get a headache (thanks God, that hasn't happened in about like 4 months or even more).

This really depends on you. For some people, Tylenol's main ingredient (Acetaminophen) works best. For others, Advil's main ingredient (Ibuprofen) works best. For still others, Asprin or an asprin/caffeine mix works best.

And it depends on what kind of pain you have. If you have pain with swelling, an anti-inflamitory will work best (Ibuprofen).

This is something you're going to have to figure out on your own.

For me, Acetaminophen only works on certain kinds of stress related headaches. For body aches, I have come to find Ibuprofen works best. I use Asprin to bring down fevers, but it makes my ears ring like crazy.

All of these have potentially harmful, or even deadly side effects. One in particular is I would NEVER use Acetaminophen if you've been drinking.

It all depends on your body. You'll have to test these things yourself.

You can get Tylenol 2 from the pharmacist without a prescription... it's not on the shelves, and you'll need to ask the pharmacist, but you don't need a script for them.

Isn't Aleve stronger than ibuprofen like advil? I had a pulled muscle in my foot, and the doctor prescribed me Aleve.

Aleve is a former prescription drug originally developed for arthritis sufferers. It's main benefit is it's lasting power. It is to be taken every 12 hours, instead of 4 or 6 hours IIRC.

Aleve works great for everything BUT headaches. For me, nothing beats aspirin for a headache.

Toothaches: 2 aspirin or tylenol (reduce swelling), then 2 aleve for pain. Can't do this for more than a day or so, but it'll hold you till you get to the dentist. Pretty effective.
