I know outlook, outlook express, and Netscape are out there.

I'm looking for the best Pop3 software and yet least likely to get hit by a virus (unlike Outlook which is most likely).

So what else is outhere besides the above mentioned three?

I've used the Bat! and was pretty satisfied with it... I switched back to Outlook, because it was more convenient for me. If you're looking for something that's not very susceptible to email viruses, then The Bat! is probably your best bet. It also has a pretty nice interface...

Eudora Pro is another good one. I haven't yet tried it, but Mozilla also has a mail client - I believe it's called Firebird.

I use Eudora. The one problem I have with it - occasionally, after opening and closing it a few times, and then having it open for a few hours, its CPU usage will decide to jump to 99% for a little. No idea why. I have to go to Task Manager and end the process. I use the free version of it though; can't expect more than what I'm paying I guess. And it's not like this problem happens very often.

I am using Pegasus Mail myself. I am quite pleased with it. It does have some difficulty accessing HTML email (Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) so I never really tested multi account usability. But for one account it is great.
