Does anyone know if MySql will benefit from 4cpu's? or does it max out at 2cpu's?
does the amount of L2 and/or L3 cache offer a difference?
how about 64bit vs. 32bit procs?
how about dual core?
we're going from paradox to mysql and I want to build the right config.
I read on mysql site that there's a cluster version of the software....it is better to load balance or cluster? what's faster, one server with 4 procs or a cluster environment with 2, 2 proc servers?
last but not least, has intel caught up with amd yet?
please don't make this a intel vs. amd thread...it's not. i'm here to discuss the best hardware config for mysql.
thanks!
