I have a Logitech MX500 mouse. When using Logitech drivers, the driver "forgets" the key bindings from time to time and also in games i SOMETIMES can't use the additional buttons.

With the standard Windows driver everything works fine, but I cant get Doubleclick on my scroll wheel button, which I want to have.

What can I do, is there an alternative stable driver from another source ?

You can get most of the functionality (not sure if doubleclick willl work) by installing the logitech drivers without the mouseware software. Unpack the exe file to your HD and then manually update themouse drivers pointing to the appropriate OS folder. There are detailed instructions in the README.TXT file.

Mouseware is pretty much broken, I sent several support requests about buttons not working in games about 1+ year ago, but they would always respond it was fixed or will be fixed in the next release. Gave up and have been running driver only since without problems.
