I Have Just Got A Retail Celeron 566MHz, And A Golden Orb. My Question Is, What Is The Best Motherboard To Overclock This CPU?

I had mine on a MSI 6163Pro with a MSI6905 slocket. MSI boards are becoming recognized as excellent, stable boards. Mine is and I'd get another one.

I don't know what the "best" board would be, but my MSI-6309 took to the Celeron 600 like a labrador retriever to water at 100 Mhz front side bus, for a nice 900 Mhz clock speed. It is available from herefor $85 plus shipping. Good board, good vendor.

I think any BX board will do, as long as it is one of the last made and haveing as little as possible on board (not even udma66 or 100 controller) because of the available irq's

Asus CUSL2-C is a nice 815 chipset based board without any of the extra controllers. Good for future upgrades and found for about $110-$120

i would go with a BX board, like mentioned earlier. i have an Abit be6-ii and it is running at 850, i could push a little more out of it, but its going to stay there for awhile. if you dont want a BX board i would suggest going with Asus CUSL.

I have both the C566 and the GOrb cooler.

I had the Abit BE-6 II in service until the floppy controller died and killed all furture floppies I plugged into it. I clocked it to 100mhz bus @ 1.65 = 850.

Then I bought the Cusl2-C to put in service while the Abit was out for its 2-4 week warrenty "repair". All other components are the same, memory, video, case, sound, etc.... I can't get w98 or w2k to work at 100. I'm frustrated with this. But still, I've never had an Asus die on my yet....

Someone was selling a used P3B-F for $85.00 in the forsale/trade forum. That's what I would grab for it.

I've got an Asus CUV4X in my work computer and it's a great MoBo with lot's of options. Running a Cel2 667@1000 no problem.

I Got In My ASUS P2B-S Motherboard Now, With An ASUS S370-133. It's Running At 850MHz. I've Just Got An ASUS CUV4X MB In The Other Day. I'm Going To Try Switch Out The Motherboards.

Thanks For Everyone's Advice.
