WHAT IS THE BEST LCD MONITOR SETTINGS ???

I just got my Dell 15" LCD and am not overly impressed. Can you guys tell me the optimal settings so that I can better evaluate it? Contrast, Brightness, etc. Thanks so much in advance.

You're not trying to run it at some non native resolution, are you?
