Think hard about doing it before going in to whoever you pick to do it. A friend of mine has had problems with one of his eyes since having it done several years ago, and only recently was able to start driving at night again. His right eye was perfect, no problems, but the left, his "master" eye had all kinds of streaking at night and oncoming headlights were very unpleasant to look at. He would close his left eye, but you lose all your depth perception and not being able to use the master eye is annoying as hell.
The doctor did nothing wrong, it just happened. It took several corrective procedures and a lot of hassles and pain to get his eye decent enough for night driving again.
Think hard about it first, since there isn't any real way of "going back".
