What is the best home DDR pad that does not cost too much money?

Home built, if you have the desire, can be tight as hell, but it takes work. Arcade quality pads for around $100.

So I'd say Red Octane's Ignition pads are sweet for "soft" pads. Cobalt Flux metals are hot, but expensive as hell, and again, you can make a pad just as good for $100.

one of my friends has one of the expensive metal pads and another one of my friends has the cloth one that comes with the game. I have to say the cloth one is a lot more comfortable to play on than the metal one.

Konami DX pad is bar none the best soft pad.

It's only sold by Konami of Japan, so you might be able to find it on ebay or through importers. The retail is around 7,800Y but the resellers here tend to rip people off.
