What is the best headset for around $50 If possible I would like one with a boom. Need a good one for strike.

If you're a picky audiophile, you can't go wrong with a sennheiser. Everybody agrees on that.

If you're feeling adventurous, you might want to look at medusa 5.1 surround headphones. They're a bit pricey ($96 in the u.s) but they have had very positive reviews and you ought to consider them if you're into gaming and movies. Surround sound is a plus. I ordered a pair myself.

No, there isnt noise cancelling and it doesnt completly surrounc your ears like many expensive headphones. There is, however, noise cancelling for the microphone which prevents it from picking up background noise when it's on. If you're not a serious audiophile and want some good $50 headphones with a mic, the PC150 is the way to go. Get it from Amazon though, because it's cheaper there.
