Hello all! New here. I'm just wondering: What is the best graphics card for Oculus Rift DK2?

I am doing research with the Rift, online survey here (http://bit.ly/1q0fnIA), and before I receive the DK2 I am trying to find out if my graphics card is suitable. My rig is:

Resolution: 1920x1080
Total avail graphics: 4841MB
AMD Radeon HD 7570 Properties
Highest refresh rate: 60 Hertz
True color 32 bit
Processor: IntelCore
i7-3770 CUP @3.40GHz
RAM: 32.0GB
64bit operating system

Thanks everyone! ^.^ follow me on twitter @researchvr

Your current GPU will not cut it. I had a guy who was big into Occulus rift who bought a 290x off me, he combined that with a 4770k cpu.

You want very powerful gpu and cpu.

FAQ

Should be able to run modern games in 3D at 75fps or higher at 1080p.

So for running in 2d add 25% more performance needs due to hit of 3d implementation. You want to be able to run modern games in 2d at 100fps to run modern games in 3d at 75fps

For gpu I'd go 780ti/290x and OC your cpu to 4.4 or higher. Get the absolute best gpu you can afford.

to be safe with possible Consumer version 1, I'd get a 290 or 290x, or at least a 780/ti

since the rift hasn't been announced to use Freesync or gsync, pick the best performance for the money.

edit: freesync/gsync may not work with Lightboost anyways which the DK2/CR1 will likely use to reduce motion blur.
