LOL I can't beleive that I have lived to see the day when ppl start to look at Linux as the fad and other OSes as the thing to work on, hmm LOL

That's not it at all. Linux is fine, but OpenBSD just feels right. It makes a lot more sense to me, the goals are more in line with what I want, and I like the direction I see it going.

Mac OS X is just pretty. 😛

Well I had some minor FreeBSD experience I installed it on a spare IBM workstation for a week or so , it was pretty stable though, but to be honest I didn't like how much less supported than Linux it is due to it being less widely spread, so I didn't keep it. But I never tried OpenBSD it should be the same in esence right ?
And as for OS X being just pretty, I agree, but here what happens when beauty meets the beast.

I gottta go with dopewars. Dopewars is a UNIX rewrite of the MS-DOS program of the same name, which in turn was inspired by John E. Dell's "Drug Wars" game. You have one month to buy and sell drugs on the streets of New York, the aim being first to pay off your debt to the loan shark and then to make a fortune. And if you have to shoot a few cops in the process, well... The game includes TCP networking allowing you to meet (and shoot) other human drug dealers.

Excellent stuff that will keep you riveted for hours.

I like to pop over to "the Linux Game Tome" every now and then and browse through the different categories. Most of what they have is free. Some of the games are unbelieveably good, and some are really weak. But then some of the seemingly weak ones turn out to be really fun, like the console game "Starlanes" that's a lot like a game I have on my Treo that I really like.

I have found the best game on linux it's called Virus Killer , it's awesome you have Windows icons such as Outlook MSN, and the rcycle bin and you have those freaking viruses coming from everywhere and you have to smoke them with your laser gun, it's pretty sweet you got to try it guys it's not only a virus killer it also doubles as a time killer 😛

OpenBSD is quite different than FreeBSD. FreeBSD is pretty well supported though. The community and documentation are great.

America's Army is by far the best free modern game.

As for non-free - Unreal Tournament 2004, Doom 3, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Enemy Territory (client for online multiplayer is free), Neverwinter Nights, Quake 3.

UT2004 is the most popular multiplayer game, and you can buy it now for $10. It has a huge online player community. Doom 3 is an awesome great single player game that has to be seen to be believed.

If you use cedega (Windows DirectX emulator), you can run many native windows games such as Half Life 2, Warcraft 3, Far Cry, Call Of Duty, etc.
