I guess it doesn't really need to be thee best, but what do you recommend? I have an HP 9150i writer and need some shareware software so I can start burning. By the way, I only need it for backing up data, not really interested in recording audio, yet.

Thanks

For normal burning of things, I use Adaptec Easy CD Creater. It's a very easy to use programs and you can make both data and audio cd's from it within minutes. If you're going to be making backups of cd's, then I'd recommend getting Clone-CD as it alllows you to dub just about anything and is well worth the registration cost. A lot of people like Nero and CDRWin, but I've only got the demos of those and the full version of Adaptec came with my burner, so that's what I use most of the time.

i agree. if you're in windows, nothing beats Nero. it's simply the best i've used. if you're into copying cds, then i'd go with clonecd.
