What is the best firewall software for Win 98 SE ?

Search this forum (And GH, and Software) for "firewall" -- there are many debates going on about it. Personally, first of all I'd recommend upgrading to a more secure operating system (Windows2000 or *nix/*bsd if you've got the balls ;)) -- but IMO, ZoneAlarm or ZoneAlarm Pro are the best firewalls.

Well at the moment im all good with 98 se and why would i need balls to upgrade to win 2000 if I really wanted to I think I would have !! Tell you the truth im really debateing doing so considering its been three strikes with this firewall crap tried zone alarm nice but what a resorce hog tried norton was awsome but let me connect them after like 5 links locked the connection on me thinking that IE beta 6 is the problem with that !! and just did'nt like blackice so i really dont know ! oh yea and its not my connection because netscape works fine on red hat 7.1 when i boot into that !!

Go to windows2000. You'll love it, the learning curve from 98se to 2000 is minimal unless you're heavy into networking, which you're probably not because you're running win98se. ;)

thanks i'll really take that into consideration for now i search those earlier post and decided to go with the zonealarm pro !!
