I have been using napster, but since it is getting shut down, I am now looking for some other alternatives. I have tried Imesh, BearShare, LimeWire and Imesh would work ok, but I can't seem to get it to contact any of the servers in WIN2K. My roomate has it in 98 and he says that it runs fine for him. Kinda weird.

My experience with BearShare and Limewire are bad. You can find alot of stuff with those apps, but when you go to download something, you can never get it. Horrible downloading!

What is the best one that you guys have found?

I have also used Gnutella, but BearShare and Limewire run off of Gnutella's servers so they are basically the same thing. Also, do you know of any site that I could get some information about Gnutella's network and how it is set up. Maybe if I could learn the basic structure of the network, I will be able to use it better.

iMesh is good for shows (futurama, simpsons, etc) and movies... oops, i mean very long and complete trailers... cuz movies are copyrighted and shouldn't be downloaded :D
