What is the best DVD player for a PC?

Hey guys! I am looking to get a DVD player for my PC but I am not sure what the differences between the ones that are out there. What speed should I be looking at, what brand, and should I look for a DVD with good software (what software is good?)

I'm so confused!

basicaly, you want a 16x dvd drive. pioneer and toshiba are good players. if you get a retail boxed drive it will probably come with a software dvd player, otherwise powerDVD and winDVD are good.
