Keep in mind that Windows 98 will not support dual processors. Even though Windows 2000 may support the dual processors, programs have to be written to take advantage of dual processors so most games will not even see the second processor. Unless you are going to use the system for some type of server with SMP (symmetric multi-processing) support, you are better off to get a good single processor system.

Just my opinion,

Thanks SamelCamel!

I did know that already though.

I currently have the following system:

ASUS P3V4X motherboard
Pentium III 600 o/c'd @ 840mhz (140mhzx6)
256MB PC-150 @ 140mhz
Windows 98SE (over 5000 in 3DMark2000!)
ASUS V6800 Deluxe GeForce 256 w/ 32MB DDR RAM
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 40GB ATA-66 hard drive
SB Live! Platinum
HP 9310i CD-R/RW
3DCool Tornado 1000 case w/ 300watt p/s
3COM 10/100 NIC

I don't have dual processors. If I wanted dual processors, I would probably feel safer with an Intel chipset board. Since most dual processor configurations are Intel processors and the processors decide whether or not you can run them together, the Intel [chipset] solution seems to be overwhelming.
