What is the Best Distribution of Linux?

Hi all,

I am getting a second hard drive soon, and will be setting up a dule boot of linux and windows. One of my friends reccomended mandrake, another red hat. I know that their are other distributions as well. Which one would be that best for someone just starting to learn linux?

slackware if you really want to learn and Caldera if you want to learn a little but not have to do as much work.

mandrake for newbies, slackware is good for learning but its a little steeper learning curve.

I've used Mandrake and it was as easy to setup as any MS OS.

If you speak brazilian portuguese, get Conectiva Linux 6.0... (just a joke...)
I like SuSE 7.1. You can download it from the suse ftp site here or here, but be aware: more than 600 mb
