I just bought a car without a cd player in it so I want to changethe radio in favour of radio/CD. I don't want to spend too much on the player, it's a used car after all :)

Thanks for your advice !

umm..other than being off topic....

"best" and "cheap" don't go together in the same scentence. Remember you get what you pay for....you can always buy something decent and then pull it when you get rid of the car.

BUT, check crutchfield.com, you should be able to find something decent around $100

Or you can go to myirock.com and buy a irock wireless adapter. Plug it into your cd headphone jack and it changes sound to radio waves and just tune it in on your radio. WOrks like a charm.

I don't believe this tpic belongs to off topic because it concerns hardware, well not computer hardware but hardware in general. I've see so many what is the best cd rom, DVD for the computer, why not a CD player for the car. By the way, there's a topic right below this one that talks about MP3 players, it sure looks as off topic as mine.

Thanks for the guys who gave me good information, it is very appreciated.

BTW, I want to spend like 140$ on that CD player thing if it helps....

I think panasonic and pioneer are the best.
I have a panasonic, but I spent $250 for it.

you can get the cheapest Alpine ~$159.00 + shipping. It looks nice too. :) One drawback is it doesn't have direct track access(ie. you cannot press 5 and it jumps to play track 5 on an audio CD).
