Well, accoring to the anandtech review, the 8500DV, which operates at the same speed as most 8500le cards, is a bit slower than the ti500. Given the driver updates since tha review have closed the gap a bit, I would expect that an 8500le would be about equal, but have better features and 2d, and quite possibly overclock to a better performing card.

i think i remember seeing somewhere that the GF4MX's were just GF2 at higher speeds, giving a slight performance boost over the GF2. that leads me to think the GF3Ti would beat probably up to the 440.

i'd probably go with a GF3Ti200/500 or a radeon 8500le

i saw this card

never heard of it before, its $60, but probably outperformed by either one above...anyone else seen this and how it matches up to other cards before?

$45 is a fair price for the Radeon 64MB VIVO. The Radeon 8500 LE is the best choice for $66 shipped on pricewatch, a tremendous upgrade for you. However, when dealing with LE's you want to get one clocked at 250/250. If you have trouble finding one with these specs or are not sure, the Radeon 9000 Pro 64MB for $64 shipped would be almost as good.

Have the 8500 retail. Excellent card with great features (I love the dual head and the excellent TV-Out)
