What is the best capture card out right now?

What is the best card quality wise to capture video/audio from a VCR and/or camcorder?

Need some advice, thanks. Looking for the best quality wise, and also a recommendation for best bang for the buck. I was considering the winTV PVR but if anyone knows about a better product quality (audio and video) wise, please let me know.

Thanks a lot !!

Cheers

I just bought a Pinnacle Studio Deluxe v8. It is supposed to be very good, but I haven't had the chance to install it yet. I have heard others speak highly of it though. It captures in DV and analog.

Depends on how much you are willing to spend. I went crazy and bought the ADVC-100 and it was worth every penny I spnet on it. You can check out info on it here. You can read up on just about any card here.

Hope this helps,

Good timing! I am planning to purchase a video capture card too. It's basically to conver old VHS cassettes to SVCDs (or later DVDs).
Thouroughly confused by the brands and models. Please post your recommendations.

Any first hand experience on "Leadtek Winfast TV2000XP Deluxe" or "Pinnacle Studio Deluxe V8"?

I read mixed reviews about "Pinnacle Studio Deluxe V8". Price is right but I am concerned about quality!

Do you have any comments on its quality?
