Try the search button. This is one that has been discussed to death. Then, while you're buying your router, order a new keyboard. It appears that yours is broken.

Linksys works great and is it inexpensive.

Netgear *appears* better and more robust. The Linksys loops cheap, but it works. Netgear is expensive.

Get the Linksys.

The SMC barricade is $99 at egghead.com. It comes with a print server so you can share a printer, and a 4-port switch. The D-link 704 is $89 (both are made by the same OEM but the D-link does not have a print server). A seperate print server can cost $100 or more. The Linksys is around $129 but they used to have a $30 rebate, check if they still have it. The Netgear used to be more expensive but they have the price down to $129 now(egghead). Zyxel and Netgear have routers that have the same OEM, even their firmware are interchangeable. The Linksys has more options under a web-based interface but there are also a lot of documented problems with it(check practicallynetworked.com). You might also want to check the warranty.

SMC and D-Link - limited lifetime
Netgear - 5-years
Zyxel - 2 years
Linksys - 1 year

I vote with 86plymouthcolt. Freesco is by far the best. My Freesco router replaced my Netgear RT311 and ICS, which I think both are great solutions also, but Freesco has so many features that I am adding things to it each week. Plus it handles high bandwith better.
