I am getting ready to build a new music production pc when the Zen 2 comes out (the 16 Core / 32 Thread one). All the Aandtech Review articles of AM4 Socket MOBO's say "While none of the manufacturers of the boards tested on the AM4 socket so far have been optimized for DPC latency".....

Souce:

So, in 2019, are there any AM4 Socket motherboards optimized for DPC latency yet? Do any have better measurements than what's listed there? Anyone know what the best mobo will be for this purpose?

Cheers!

From the reviews I've read, if you're concerned about low DPC latency, go with an Asus board. I like Asrock better than Asus overall, but they tend to be higher in DPC latency.

The only problem with finding reviews where they actually test DPC latency (most don't anymore), are the few sites who test it generally only test higher-end boards. So there's reviews on boards like the ROG Crosshair VII HERO, but not on a mid-range board like the Prime X470 PRO (not that I could see looking for a few moments).

I've heard, and take this with a grain of salt, that if you buy no-frills boards, with less onboard chips (including voltage/fan -monitoring chips, and RGB drivers), then your DPC latency may be less.

Thanks for the replies all. If anyone have an AM4 Socket MOBO, would you mind rebooting your pc (so least amount of apps are running) and try running the following program :

and posting a screenshots of the results after it's been running for a minute or two?
