I'm trading for a Shuttle XPC SK43G (FX43 motherboard), it has everything accept a video card. So, with a better interest in mind what would be a good card for the case/motherboard.

Only has (v3.0) 8x agp slot

well, the length is going to be the deciding factor mainly. what are you wanting to do with the machine?

well, like I said the space from the back to the front, counting cables, drives, etc will be the biggest determining factor. I would stick to any of the AGP AIW cards you can find, they're harder and harder to locate any decent agp cards period.

Sorry about the mix up in the PM's you sent...The shuttle site says they recommend the 9800 Pro/XT series of cards...

well, when it came out yes, but there's options now. when you get it, let me know the space available and I'll see what I can hunt up for a video card for you.

well, it gives a clue, but you'll need to see it with all th cables, wires, etc installed and see what space is really available.

Got the shuttle today and it is nice, currently has a GF 5200x 128mb heatsink only looks like it has a room for a nice big AGP card...

Yeah, but now I have to figure out what I can put in it that will meet the power limitations of the Shuttle Power supply

ouch, I had a SN45G and to do more than the 9000 series of cards, I had to bring the PSU up to 400. you'll best be checking with shuttle or newegg on that as well. if you can get a stringer psu, you can look at the HD or X series then, just have to make sure of measurements 1st.

Using a PSU calculator, I'm fine If I use what I have until I upgrade and even then I would only need a 300w (thats all Newegg has).

still looking, noone is listing it as available. found a nice post by someone using one. "The 400W shuttle PSU has a peak rating of 450W. I?m running this PSU no problems in my SN26P with an 8800GTX. Ordered the PSU directly from shuttle and it?s a plug and play replacement for the old 350W PSU."
