I just got a ATI X1900xt, need a quiet and powerful cooler to cool it, any suggestion I looked at the Accelero X2, i think it is good but it doesn't vent air out of the case.
Any other good suggestion ???

I had decent success with the VF900 on the gpu (lower temps than stock), but I got artifacts running stock clocks in 3DMark06 (canyon flight) and Oblivion. Put the stock cooler back on, and I haven't seen them since. I think the Zalman ramsinks might not be up to par. I have considered getting some OCZ or other copper sinks because the Zalman is much quieter than stock.

The fv700 is barely enough at full speed, so I would not get that one. The fv900 is about 4-5 degrees lower than the vf700 (also at full blast), but because of the price, I would not recommend it as a first choice. I have not tried the Accelero, but from reading the user reports it cools at full speed as good or slightly better than the vf900, and it costs less, so the Accelero gets my pick. The Thermalright v1 ultra is no doubt the best cooler in terms of dropping the temperatures, but it does not blow any air on the voltage regulators unless you mod it to mount an oversized fan on that side of the card, and it's also the most expensive of the bunch. The Sytrin VF1 cools well, but it has some compatibility issues with the x1k cards, such as the fan bracket length and the mounting screws.

If I were buying a cooler for an x1900xt right now, I'd get the Accelero.

And many more reviews if you'd do a G-search. Funny how a less known company trunced its competition.

Those tests of the Sytrin are on a 6600GT and a 7800GTX... It might be a good cooler, but neither one of those cards is anywhere close to as hot as an X1900XTX. My X1900XTX idles in the 50's with the stock cooler, and hits 90C at load. (I think munky's broke 100C... if it was watercooled you could make tea!). The core on this card is hot, plus it's big. They need to put the Sytrin thing on something that actually produces some heat before I'll buy the claim that it's king of the hill.

Works well for me, temps never get above 37 degrees. I don't remember paying that much for it though, I think they raised the price 10-15 bucks.

The Sytrin works fine on my X1900XT. Idling at 41c right now and it gets to around 68-69c under load with the fan on low. Installing it on a X1900 card is hard though, so if you don't feel like messing with something to make it work then I wouldn't recommend it.

Mine only hit 90C load, but I'd rather not make it into a $500 teapot...
Also, apparently my x1900xt is the only one if it's kind that will not run stable at xtx speeds and default voltage. Anyone try increasing the voltage on the x1900's using the Accelero for cooling? Using 1.425v with a vf900 I get temps shooting through the roof. :(

I'm really happy with my Accelero X2 on my X1900XTX. It is so quiet that I run the fan on 100%. My load temperature now stays below 73C with the fan on 100%. Plus, its very easy to install..
