Can someone tell me what the difference between the Radeon and the Radeon LE is?
At this site:
http://www.essencom.com/parts/video.htm

you can buy a SDR Radeon at that site for 85 dollars, but for 4 dollars more you can get the LE DDR version. I figured I should get it because its DDR, but I wanted to check here first to see whats up with the LE designation of it.

thanks

The "LE" version of the Radeon is clocked at 148 MHz instead of 166 MHz and the drivers have hyper-Z disabled.

However, the chip is physically the same as the normal Radeon. I think there's a driver hack to enable hyper-z and some way to OC the chip.

The LE is a 32MB Radeon DDR underclocked to 148/148, and has hyper-Z disabled in the drivers. There is a registry hack to re-enable hyper-z though.
