What is the ATF policy on grey market software posts?

We don't have a hard position on this, but it would be best for everyone that such products are clearly marked, as Steam and other services have revoked out-of-market software before.

Thanks. I've been trying to point out in the threads the dangers when I see them, but wanted to make sure that if the position was "We don't care" that I didn't say anything in the futire.

How is that grey market? This is a legit hot deal that I've seen posted elsewhere.

I don't think that there is a grey market when it comes to software. It's either legit or it's pirated.

Grey market: software imported from 3rd world nations such as Thailand or Russia where the software is sold at far lower prices in order to match the relative income of the nation. This software is not approved for sale in 1st world nations, and is often blocked from activation or is deactivated when activation servers detect it.

Isn't that like a "stick it to those" who can afford it policy?

If one can afford a multi-hundred $$ computer; they can afford the OS and S/W that they choose to run on it.

Software is priced to the market and target customer base.

Sorry, I fail to see your point. If a game is worth $10 over there, then it's worth $10 (currency conversion notwithstanding) over here.

Is a 50K BMW sold for a fraction of the price in up coming markets? I doubt that very much.

Gentlemen, this isn't the right place to be arguing about whether price discrimination is just or not. Take that to OT please. This forum is for forum issues.
