What is the actual clock speed (mhz.) of a stock p4 2.53

LOL...no...I am just not at all familiar with Intel. I know like an AMD 1700 is only like 1400mhz. I just assumed Intel was like that too.

Intel has higher clock speed. Amd has less clock speed but is more efficient. Dont be fooled by PR ratings though because a 3000+ is definatly not a 3.0 pentium. Ask before your gonna buy in case you make the same mistake many of us did.

Thats true, but it isnt THAT far off, depending on system setup.

a 3200+ is about a 2.8 p4
