That first pic reminds me of the ISP I worked for around 7 years ago.

One of their "nodes" was in the basement of a church. Imagine about 150 external modems in a pile of wire spaghetti.

I think I worked there a few years ago. Their network was half ARCNet and half Ethernet. I thought I did a pretty good job of straightening out their cabling before I left.😀
