EDIT: Added 2nd question

D: "This thread is a spin of the other thread."
E: "This thread is a spin off the other thread."
F: "This thread is a spin off of the other thread."

reasons?

This thread is a spin-off of another thread.

Reduces the number of words that start with "o" in the sentance thus making it easier to read. Also removes a word.

D and F seem to be both correct however I would go with another again. E just sounds terrible.

D sounds more informal than F, D uses a sort of slang in its wording.

1) Typically "spinoff" is one word. The dash, "spin-off" is also acceptable. However "spin off" is never acceptable.

2) Replace "spinoff" with "byproduct". Those two as they are similar words of similar meaning. Then choose the next word in the sentence. The answer is obvious. Answer A is the only correct answer using this method.

3) I would have gone with Lonyo's answer just to avoid this whole mess.
