What is 'Steam'

its just a client that allows you to download a bunch of games... be careful though, it sucks up a lot of space if you get all the games...
 
Steam is Gabe Newell's (lead at Valve) wacko vision of being able to sell you software over the internet. Sort of like Apple's iTunes Music Store for games. As so far it has sucked the big penis of life.
