I don't remember what made me think about this yesterday, but I'll get this started.

When the movie "Sream" came out I saw it opening night. I remember when I got home I went into AOL lobbies and kept copying and pasting "The Killer is Guy1 and Guy2" but of course, putting the real names in there (I don't remember the names anymore). I'm talking about spamming the crap out of the chat room until I was booted from it. I probably did that in about 20-30 chat rooms on AOL.

now that I think about that, that was pretty fvcked up and i'd be pissed as all hell if someone spoiled it for me.

back in the wild west days... i have done some terribly stupid things, but nothing compares to some of the stuff my e-buddies did. They would have hundreds of accounts and CC's saved up from <><'ing (long before it was a big topic on the news)

Back in 2002 some guy really ticked me off (swore at me in front of a bunch of people at an 80-person LAN party), so on my blog I posted his full name, address, phone number, the church he attended, the fact that he lived with his parents (he was like 30), a few photos of him, and I may have implied he was a pedophile. Encouraged people to TP his house, prank call him late at night, etc. Took it down a few days later when the LAN party organizer sent me a nasty email saying he was "shocked and ashamed." Eh. Not my best decision I guess.

I was one of the first people on gaiaonline.com to spread around that SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDORE.

Then made a variant on it of SNAPE KILLED VOLDEMORT.

I'm such a badass.

heh i used to get on IRC all the time.

anyway when bored i would download pictures off Rotten.com and put a DCC bot up in channels like Daddaughtersex, kidsex etc let poepole download. At least until someone complained and got me kick/banned heh.

oh for those that don't know about rotten.com (is it even still up?) they would have pictures of dead people from accidents etc. kinda like ogrish.com is today.

Well, i use to use wardialers and scan numbers for PBXes and extenders, and would crack them to make long distance or conference calls. That was highly fun.

No.
That's why it's a variant of Snape kills Dumbledore.
Big joke to piss people off, man.

I used to WinNuke these two annoying little turds in my programming classes (circa 1998). They never did figure out what was going on. Their computers just always seemed to intermittently BSOD.

Oops.

there was a guy in hs that we used to joke around with, he portrayed himself as a "hacker", he was smart (tought me a ton of stuff, me and him took down an entire computer lab one day...sadly thats not the meanest), but totally socially inept. So anyways he ran his own isp, i figured out the backdoor, logged in and got into his favorite mirc chat room where they thought it was him. Well then i did all kinds of stuff. Flirted with his online gf, "came out of the closet", all sorts of stuff. He got me back though and got into my email account and sent messages to my gf at the time that ended up breaking us up. Then it was all out war...i made a webpage with photochops of him, he would find ways to netbus me, i put keyloggers on his machines and found out passwords galore, we were still friends but it was a constant back and forth of hacking each other.

I have a common email (paul21@) and I got a message from some chick emailing another guy and got me by accident. I replied, strung her along for a while, got a feel for the type of friend ship they had, then confessed my feelings for her.

Was good fun, but was she ever pissed when she found out I wasn't the actual guy.

Oh yeah, that reminds me... when I was in highschool we had a programming class for QBasic. The computer network we were using was incredibly simple... if you knew how to do "cd.." in DOS, you could get into other students' directories. So my friends and I wrote a QBasic program that created many randomly-named files of random sizes... we ran it in other students' directories, then renamed their .BAS files to something fitting the random-name syntax. A couple of us weren't allowed to use the computers for two days.

Damn i did something like that too. I went into other student's directories and copied their work and even tests. That's probably why i suck at coding.

I used to go into the yahoo chatrooms for WWF stuff and make fun of the people in there.

I also used to mess with a couple people with netbus. The best was one time I sent a message that said "I am hungry, feed me disks" then opened up his cd-rom.

I was also in an action quake2 clan back in the day, and did all the webpage stuff. When I left I gave the password to somebody else, and the next day the webpage was filled with rather interesting things. I got this kid back by embedding the "girlfriend" trojan into that frog blender joke program, which later gave me his icq password. I think I deleted his icq account or something mean like that.
