If it's homemade bread, I'll eat it. Store bought heal-bread is not appealing.

same. if its homemade (or good bread) i will eat it. if its regualar bread then i toss them

I dont eat the heels on the loaf of bread because 1) it just doesnt look appetizing, 2) it doesnt taste good, 3)it feels funny.

As far as milk goes, I drink 3 gallons a week to the very last drop.

Or the people who don't drink the last ounce of beer because it's "backwash"

I don't like those people.

I don't drink the last ounce of beer because it's warm and tastes disgusting. You can have it if you like it so much- I don't backwash into my drinks.

I never noticed these things until you mentioned it. What's the big deal? I sometimes don't eat the heel on a loaf of bread and at other times, I do.

I can't drink much so I usually don't see the last ounce of my beer.

i make my own bread and it only lasts two days (sometimes threes) before we ate it all. i make double end sandwiches when it comes right out of the oven. its good try it.

I'd ask the same of those who don't eat the crust on a slice of pizza...

Easy. Less carbs and no toppings. I do love the crusty part of bread though. Especially on sandwiches.

Yours have time to warm up?

If it's good sourdough bread, I always eat the heel, it's very good. It's easy to find good sourdough here in the SF Bay Area. I'm moving to North Carolina soon, and I'm going to miss really good california sourdough.

If there are no preservatives, the heel tastes better. I'm all for crusts in general, but when it comes to pre-sliced bread with preservatives, the heel is better used as a shield for the rest of the bread.

Many of you refuse to eat the heels on a loaf of bread. You know who you are. You are the same people who won't drink the last little bit from a jug of milk. You also are the ones who leave the last perfectly good grape or two on an otherwise bare bunch.

What is the problem?

I resent that. I don't eat the heel, but I always drink the last bit of milk. EVEN after backwashing into the jug because I drink straight out of it. 😀
