What is so great about the summer/beach?

You know, besides the bikinis and sexy women showing massive cleavage coming back from the beach or on the beach... and occasionally a nipple ...and the ass.

What is so great about summer? Cause I can't stand summer. It's hot. I get sweaty and sticky. Bugs are out, especially mosquitoes and they are attracted to believe or not.. sweaty people. What is so nice about being hot.

And what is it with this tanning trend? Don't women know that sun exposure causes wrinkles? And why would I want you to look like an orange Umpa-lumpa?

During the summer there is also people everywhere, crap loads of traffic and high gas prices. The beach is kinda dirty, being salty and all. Then you get back from the beach, after arriving home from... traffic and you are tired, no rest. And now you are burnt and will experience pain for a few days.

What is so great about the summer/beach?

Compared to the climate of fall, where you can be comfortable in a nice temperature with a shirt. Not sticky, not hot, just perfect, and almost no bugs. Or even winter, at least you can add on more clothes to get warm, but you can't get naken when it's too hot - and even then, nakedness might not help.

So, what is it, I can't understand. Why would you move away from a perfectly comfortable climate to liking a hot climate. Cause lets face it, if you like summer so much, you wouldn't even have an air conditioner in your house. Right?

yea id much rather it be 65 all year round myself, and i have never liked going to the beach, i dont understand the facination people have with it, i gre up on the water, rarley ever went to the "beach" too many fing people at the beach

the beach is my favorite place to hang out...my brother and i made ourselves go broke hanging out at padre island for a month on our 18th birthdays 😀

good times

I love the summer months as much as I love the winter months. in fact, I like all of the seasons. Each has its own pros and cons.

i just love the water and the heat. i plan on moving south (I'm in marlyland now) in a year or so, probably to florida, near water so that I will be near it all year round. i would rather it be warm year round than get cold ass winters like i do here in maryland.

just something about the water soothes me and makes me happy, i've just always been that way. when my dad used to have a boat and we would go out on the chesapeake it would just be so awesome. i like to fish, swim, and now snorkel after I went the first time while in aruba.

i mean look at the pics from aruba on my website, you will see why i like the water so much 🙂

I love summer. I try to stay outside as much as possible now, even when it is 90 degrees out everyday. Hell, my vehicle has been without doors for months now and the top only goes on when its raining and Lola is in it with me, otherwise I'll drive home wet.

Yesterday I was at the beach. It was nice, no sun so no sunburn, but it still had warm winds. The sand is fun, standing within the waves. It's a calming feeling. Besides, it's more fun to sail in the summer, warm waters, warm winds, and beautiful days.

I love being at the beach. The wind, the scenery, and mostly the company of friends hanging out, taking walks, frisbee, sailing, etc.

fun part about being at the beach in the summer is seeing seeing beautiful girls in bikini that almost reveal everything.

I like the summer, its wonderful being outside with the smell of fresh cut grass and steaks grilling away, but i do not like mosquitos that come with summer. I also don't like wearing lots of clothes so its nice to pop on a sundress or bathing suit and just be done with it!

I love fall, especially in Michigan. I would say i like fall more than summer even.

Exactly. This man has the right idea.

Fall and spring both have good temperatures, but spring is crazy windy. Winter is cold, but at least you can add more clothes to get warm. And summer just sucks, its too hot to go outside (100ish with no wind around here).

Depends where you are, in Phoenix, summer kinda sucks. Insane heat, high electric bills, etc. In Flagstaff, summer isn't too bad.

At least, even in 'Spring' and 'Fall' in Phoenix, you can see scandalously clad females at pretty much every shopping center. Honest, I remember thinking I sleep with more clothing on then these younguns' are wearing outside. 😛

It's not that I love summer - it's that I hate winter.

Freezing... Ice... Snow... crappy roads... accidents... gets dark way too early... everyone seems to hibernate...

Oh - did I mention that it's freezing??

Yeah winter sucks, summer is a little better IMO...just because I don't have to worry about a freak blizzard making travel impossible.

Fall pwns all...springs pretty good but everything is all muddy.

what's so great ? You get to do stuff outdoors. Sports, BBQs, gatherings with friends, etc. Dramatic difference between winter and summer. The mood is so dreary for Winter.

This is not to say I don't like the changing seasons. It makes me appreciate (as in take advantage of) good weather that much more when it comes around.

I enjoy the summer. Here (coastal SoCal) it is not hot (about 75 degs at noon usually), nor humid or sticky. There are virtually no airborne bugs (perhaps bees, definitely no mosquitos b/c no standing freshwater). On my way home in the summer I drive by fruit stands with fruit grown nearby in the same area I live, flower fields that are in bloom (there is one flower field that looks like an American flag made out of bright red, white, and blue flowers), and the beach which is so full of energy it's just great. There are surfers partying, beachside bonfires at night, and 'beautiful people' 😉 There is a dog beach that has tons of dogs playing in the sand, and nothing beats a night stroll down the beach barefoot with someone you really care about. There are hummingbird nests everywhere in the summertime; they'll come right up to you if you have something bright red on. There is outside dining at cafes that is more fun in the summer, here at least, than any other time. I don't play golf but I live above one and it's more beautiful in the summertime than at any other time.

Fall has it's niceities though, especially in places like Boston. I think the quality of season vary depending on where you live. Some seasons are much better than others in certain areas.
