Quality merchandise and a good price?

I'm in the market for Yet Another HDTV and some of the prices being thrown around here are pretty darn good. I assume I'm destined to pony up the 60 buck membership fee.

Awesome return policy.
I returned a plasma I've had for 6 months and it was piece of cake.
They had some great deal on HDTV right now.
A Vizio 42" plasma and a Vizio 42" LCD for $1299 each.
A 37" LCD for $999.
A 37" 1080P LCD for $1299.
A 42" 1080P LCD for $1599.

Worry free buying.

I found the best cat litter there. We also buy my g/f's Kashi cereal, 20 lb boxes of oranges, 3 lbs of shredded parmesan cheese for $9, laundry detergent, and hot dog and soda on the way out for $1.50 (same price since 1995 when I started going there).

they have good prices on name brand clothes also, CK, kenneth cole dress shirts for ~$15. Casual and dress pants for ~$20.

their $1.35 latte freeze is pretty good, kind of like starbucks frappacino

pizza by the slice is not particularly cheap but whole large is pretty good

cheap energy drinks also, my hottie roommate be like ur addicted

they are good for tires and car batteries, I bought a new battery for $38.

and yes, fair number of hotties working there.

I went down to the Costco down in Waipio Gentry (On Oahu) and I noticed this girl was working there always looking at over at me while I was shopping for some pants for work and smiling. I should have said something but instead I finished my shopping and went home. Now I finally picked up a Costco card and I will definitely shop there more often. Love the pants there, the gas prices, and the cute girls that work there.

I think we're getting a Costco here in Lexington, KY also. I'm hoping it's better than Sam's Club. Other than cheap Parmesan Cheese, I've been unimpressed with Sam's.

It's better. Sam's is like a ghetto version of Costco. They are the same kind of store, but Costco is superior in almost every way. Higher quality, better return policy, better customer service, higher paid employees, and most importantly, much better hot dogs and pizza.

With that said, I have a membership at both. We've been Costco members for years, but just recently moved to an area that had a Sam's club. We found a nice foosball table at Sam's, and a couple other items that Costco didn't have, so I went ahead and got a membership. Overall, I definitely prefer Costco, but I have found a few things at Sam's that our Costco doesn't carry. So I may or may not renew my Sam's membership next year.

The items we always buy at Costco:
Milk, Half n Half, Butter, Cheese
Frozen Chicken, Atlantic Salmon, Ground sirloin burgers
Poststickers, Egg Rolls
Parmesan
Coffee
All kinds of spices (way, way, way cheaper than grocery store)
Bread, Bagels
TP, Paper towels, laundry detergent
Books and software (on books alone, we save enough to pay for our membership)

It's like Walmart with better quality and less evil.

QFT! Death to Walmart! (Better stop now, or I might make TallBill's Double Asshat list... I made it the first time for my long anti-Walmart rants in other threads long ago)

In a super market:
28oz bag of hot wings: $8
In costco
80oz bag of hot wings: $13

Pepsi (and other name brand sodas) is about $8 for a 36 pack every time.

They have the best ready-to-heat/bake pizza.

Kirkland's Signature mixed nuts FTW!

Agree!! The meat is awesome as well....got 16 lb Ribeye for ~$6.50/lb and it rocks.
The free samples rock...can almost eat lunch there with the samples!
The bakery is awesome with carrot cake, muffans, etc

EDIT: How could I forget about the seafood!! I love getting the giant 12/15 shrimp for $10/lb

Dude, when it opens.... you'll know what the deal is.

Costco is going to make your consumer life alot more awesome.

-15 cents/gallon less than competing gas stations savings me butt-loads of money.
-half the normal price on staples such as milk, cheese, bread, hard liquor. 😉
-everything a male wants under one roof, from motor oil, to hot tubs, to beer.
-cheap michelin tires
-discounts on car rentals. good car buying service.
-executives get 2% back at the end of the year -- that pays for my membership.
-super cheap food court -- i eat lunch there frequently when working.

...etc. seriously, i save a lot of money going there. i HATE going there, though, because it is always so crowded and people block up the aisles with their carts. you feel like a cow in the herd. but it's worth it when you realize you're saving like $50/month.

They're surprisingly good for frozen eggrolls. Much better than anything I've seen carried in a regular grocery store. And they're super easy to make. Just throw them in the oven for 15 minutes and they're done. Definitely worth trying a box.

Yeah, the potstickers are awesome. Better than 90% of the potstickers I've tried at chinese restaurants.

yes the warranty is the best

their tire center runs deals at times
and they have a decent warranty as well

the only thing that suxors is their computers arent included in the lifetime warranty
other than that i shop there for everything

COSTCO is clever. Not only do they make people pay a membership fee to buy their merchandise, but they make you take out their trash as well. (cardboard boxes)
