What is so great about Costco?

ATOT seems to love Costco. So, what's the gig?

Quality merchandise and a good price?

I'm in the market for Yet Another HDTV and some of the prices being thrown around here are pretty darn good. I assume I'm destined to pony up the 60 buck membership fee.

Their return policy is awesome. Problem with a HDTV? Return it. Don't like the way it looks? Return it. Want a new TV after 3 years? Return it. I wouldn't suggest doing the last one though.

Best thing I love about Costco is the cheap quality seafood. I buy the king crab legs, shrimp, lobster tails, mussels, clams, and tuna regularly. I find the seafood selection and quality superior to Sams Club.

I just bought a membership too, but I find the food portions to be way to big for just me and my girlfriend. We wanted to make spaghetti and all that was available was a 3 pack of 16 oz jars of sauce, 8 lb package of noodles, and a 4 lb package of sausage.. I'm gonna have to get used to freezing a lot of food... Otherwise, I love their selection of electronics and samples FTA!!!!

btw, get their $5 rotisserie chicken. It made us 4 meals...

OMg the chicken is great for the price . I usually have to wait about ten minutes for the chicken because they sell out so quick.

I think we're getting a Costco here in Lexington, KY also. I'm hoping it's better than Sam's Club. Other than cheap Parmesan Cheese, I've been unimpressed with Sam's.

It's also a good place to get your eyes examined if you wear glasses. I think mine was $45 a few months back and they give you a printout which makes it easy to order online from one of those cheap(er) places.

I've heard of people taking back half-eaten food, but you really have to be an ass to do something like that.
