What is shens?

It's a medical condition that only some people of Western-European heritage suffer from. Kind of like shin splints, but worse. It's called "Shens."

When they use it here, it infers wishing shens-like pain on someone.

But someone please explain to me the whole whiskey, tango, foxtrot thing.

I caught myself mumbling it in the car on my way home from work on Friday and I start laughing because it sounds stupid.

I remember as a kid my dad used to be in the whole radio amateur scene.

I still remember his callsign : PE1 BWB

I used to think "Why do they use these strange words, why can't they just say who they are?"

sigh...
