what is secureCRT

I have a folder on my comp that uses secureCRT....i think it's secureCertificate??? I'm not sure if it's something useful or if i can get rid of it. For some reason i think it's something i used in a class of mine in college to get documents off the server at school. If anyone can direct me on whether i should keep this as a useful app or not (keep in mind i don't use it now (at least i don't think)). Thanks.

Leave it. It's an SSH client that provides security for remote access, file transfers, etc. Google it if you want to find out exactly how it works.
