i see this being thrown around in P&N like it's supposed to be some sort of an insult.
so it's an insult to be a republican or something?

i'd rather not post this in there because it's just a flamefest there between dems and pubs.

What happens when an ATPNer post a call out thread in ATOT. Look below and you'll see.

Locked for a call out thread.

This.

It is an internet troll who tries to get a reaction out of people, and you just made his day.

It is a term used to imply that Republicans are so identical, they fit into Republican.txt. These Republicans refer to Republican.txt to determine their stance on any number of subjects.

You can also say:
Democrat.txt
Catholic.txt

well, it's rather stupid and childish and just takes away all his credibility whenever he posts this, as if he's got no real argument.

hehe, I think it's a clever little way to say something. Has caught on with others as well. Kinda overused like any other AT slang, but that's how slang goes.

Can anyone identify these distinctive reply types from P&N? There are probably more - feel free to contribute!

---

zInfamous, quite glibly, begins with the presumptuous assumption "A question and thread best reserved for P&N, I'd say", which completely discredits additional arguments. I, on the other hand, include quoting their post in-line, which makes my arguments more difficult to parse.

Once again, JS80 demonstrates their self-hate with a scathing attack, without taking time to understand another's viewpoint. For unless you take time to empathize with those who do not share your own view, you are doomed to be consumed under waves of ignorance. I have become one with life force of all, and therefore don't have to adhere to rigid constructs of logic.

Perhaps you should have investigated a little more before you called JS80 an ass.

Phokus is the origin of the republicans.txt meme that is floating around P&N right now.

JS80 was just giving a reply that highlighted that fact.

And there is NO doubt that phokus is being an ass is his use of the "republicans.txt" line to end his posts. There is no other reason for him to post such a thing other than as an intentional troll meant to get a rise out of people.

I thought #2 was incredibly obvious. :( Maybe I haven't visited P&N enough to pick up the subtle nuances, though.

Only one idiot bothers posting it. Once you realize who it is, then you have your answer to the significance.

He doenst care, he is a troll. His credibility is probably worse than McOwens now and his arguments center around making a baseless statement than calling anybody who responds names.

More like saying "typical Republican" or "Republican Talking points". That's how I read it anyway.
