HI
ok I had raid on my old mobo,
but currently I dont. I would like to know what is RAID exactly,
and how much of a performance it would affect over ATA 100
and if there is anything more i should know about its setup etc.
Thanks

Sorry, couldn't help it. RAID has to be configured... With 3 drives you could do RAID 5 which would be your best ensurance for fault tolerance and redundancy... That's most likely what you want if you really need it. I certainly would save the money unless you're a server administrator or running data that simply cannot be lost. Of course, there are other solutions available for such things such as tape drives and backup utilities. They might be cheaper unless you were just trying to gain some experience. ;)

I THINK YOU'VE BEEN IN OFF TOPIC FOR TOO LONG AND IT HAS AFFECTED YOUR HEARING! HT IS REALLY VERY QUIET AND RELAXED SO YOU DONT HAVE TO TALK SO LOUD!

Besides, you'll wake the neighbours :)
