What is "pstores"? Causes my computer to hang. . .

When opening certain programs. Then it says pstores has committed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Has anyone heard of this? What can I do to fix/stop it? It's really annoying!

EDIT: Forgot to add I am using Windows 98 and Outlook causes the problem most frequently.

Heya,

pstores is the short name for "Protected Storage"
You may have a corrupt version or an incorrect dll file version.

Tyr a reinstall of Outlook if you can.

O you can grab the pstores file from a computer with a properly working version of it. I've had this happen before. Usually just copying over the file fixes it.
