what is PEAK in PSU

Hey everyone...
well.. you know the question is written in the meassage title...
If someone can explain me what is mean , If it's important to have large PEAK in PSU , And how it works , It will be great!

That's the maximum ammount of power that a PSU can deliver to the system. It won't last very long at peak.

but for example - If I have 300W psu
and the peak is 500W
so the PSU is 500W? i don't get it...

Simple it means the PSU can sustain 300 watts indefinitely and 500 for a short burst maybe 30 seconds maybe a few mins, it varies.

Hopefully your system won't be drawing peak power from your PSU very often/at all. There are many more important qualities in a PSU than it's peak output. These incluede it's amps on the 12V rail, connectors, and sustained output. You also need to determine how reliable the manufacturers claims are. A 500w PSU made by a company like Aspire will probably perform worse than a 350w or 400w from a company like Fortron or Seasonic.
