What is overlay?

It lets other boards (or programs?) take over a portion of the display
Like a hardware DVD decoder will be able to show video in a window

In that case, I'm having problems getting &quot;overlay&quot; to function correctly 🙂
 
Hmm, I guess I'll have a problem close to what Budman is defining overlay to be since I'll have to share my apartment with 2 girls next year plus my girlfriend will sleep over a lot--that equals 3 chicks. 😉

But yup, bascially overlay is bascially going to be supported by any &quot;recent&quot; card. My Voodoo3 3500 and 3000 supported it. I know the first generation TNT cards supported it...so on.
