What is Outwar?

At outwar.com you can create a monster, a gangster, or a pop star and build their fame, power, and riches. Once you create your character, you build them by getting friends to click your secret link. The more people you get to click the link, the more money your character will generate. The top players at the end of the game will win prizes!

Outwar is a site that has a contest to get hits. The more hits you can get on your particular link, the more "powerful" your person becomes. The top people win prizes like Xbox's. The problem is there is massive spam all over the place just to try and increase your hits.......
 
I heard something the other day that made it sound like people were using it for hacking purposes, is their any truth to that?
