I have been working for the Cambece Law Firm for over a year on and off now and I have yet to figure out what my job title is?then again I?m not really sure what I do for the company. I have been told a bunch of things, but my other job is the same way, I really need to figure out what I am doing to make money. It would be easy if I had one set job I did or maybe something another person had done before, but it seems with the Cambece work I do I am a pioneer.

If you hadn?t figured it out yet, I am not J.A. Cambece, just to set the record straight. My views and demeanor in no way shape or form reflect his stand point of views, I try to take a neutral view of all topics and people, thus I try to keep the peace and not offend anyone.

Cambece

PS. This is my job

If I was a partner in your firm and I read this post, I'd fire you immediately.

Bob Slydell: You see, what we're trying to do is get a feeling for how people spend their time at work so if you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you?

Peter Gibbons: Yeah.

Bob Slydell: Great.

Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh - after that I sorta space out for an hour.

Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?

Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

I was intially contacted by the maggotry that is JA Cambece in the summer of 2005. I had received a letter from their office stating that they had purchased my account from Providian Financial and were the attorneys acting on behalf of their client CACV. I was aware of this debt and was willing and able to pay them. I telephoned this firm only to be berated, humiliated and frustrated. I asked them for a payment plan and having dealt with creditors in the past did not think this was an unreasonable request. I was told that their office did not accept payments and then was directed to borrow money from a family member, bank or another individual. I explained to them that of all people they should realize that my credit was not worthy of a bank loan and lump sum payment was unattainable. They again instructed me to borrow this money from a family member, I explained to them that my family is small and I had lost my closest members in a tragic accident. At that point I was laughed at and mocked. Throughout this lengthy and useless conversation I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor or perhaps the acting attorney. Finally the frustration ended as I ceased the call by hanging up on them. Moments later my telephone rang and much to my surprise it was a supervisor from the Cambece law firm. I explained my willingness to pay, the unacceptable conversation I had with his colleague and again I requested to speak to the acting attorney. At this point the conversation turned again I was berated and harrased. I explained to this maggot that my husband, a licensed practicing attorney would be contacting his office and our communication would cease. The maggot laughed at me said "your husband is probably a construction worker". These individuals must be stopped. I hope that this open forum will continue and others realize that they are not alone in the abuse. My husband continues to represent me and I am no longer willing to pay a company that cannot be trusted to accurately close the account.
