What is my FSB?

I have a Q6600 OC'd to 3.0GHz stable

I have 4GB of PC2-8500 Dominator

In CPU-Z:

DRAM Frequency is 416.3
FSB:DRAM is 4:5

timings 5-5-5-15

What is the FSB of the machine?

I'm guessing its around 1041, but I am not confident on that at all.

Thanks,
JOe K.

Your FSB should be 333 (3000/9) (9 is the stock multi on the q6600)

Which checks out with your RAM speed ( 333x1.25 = 416)

Fixed.

DDR2-1066 = 533 MHz

Look for the 5:8 ratio in your bios.

9x333 = 3000 MHz.
5:8 would put you at DDR2-1066 (533 MHz).

What mobo you got?

I have the older version of your motherboard ( GA-P35-DS3L ). And I am pretty sure when you get into bios, you can't see your ram settings and timings? Am I correct? Just in case, I will tell you what to do. When you get into bios, first thing, hold down: Ctrl F1, and this will give you more advanced options. You will then go into the MIT area and you will now see the memory timings and settings. This is where you can see what speed your ram is at and make changes. System Memory Multiplier (spd) will show you what ratio your bios is set to, ( this is where you can make changes ) and just below that ( in light blue ) will be what your ram speed is. Below that, should be your timing controls.

Since Gigabyte can't figure out how to label ratios in a straight-forward manner...

5:8 would be labeled as 3.2 if you have that ratio. That would put your RAM @ DDR2-1066.
If there's no 3.2, then 3.0 will get you DDR2-1000.

+1

Also, any time you want to know your FSB, it should be called "CPU Host Frequency" in the "M.B. Intelligent Tweaker" menu.

I'm a little bit confused about how your FSB got to 333 without you knowing what it was though.

I have my CPU timing and FSB set. If I am only changing the RAM timings then is the only voltage I need to change to accommodate the DDR voltage?
