I haven't played in 6+ months thoughgot too busy with school, and going out on a high note is a good way to do it. Winning a 32 man tournament with a 4 month old teir 2 deck against pro level decks is hard to beat. That and it's an expensive as hell hobby to keep current in Type 2. The new Dual lands killed me, along with the painlands. Dropping 80+ on my mana base wasn't appealing, so I just went White Weeny with Story circle x2 main decked and steath wrath's, faiths fetters, and the deal that removed attacking creatures from the game. God I'm a geek

i had this one artifact deck... right when mirrodon came out... omg, that affinity for artifacts was so tite.
here's what I'd do, get massive amounts of artifact lands and counter spells in a good black and blue deck, hit up ultra rare cards that got me the cards I wanted and the way I could assemble the cards I wanted to get next? throw hell a tons of stuff in the graveyard that I didn't need and reshuffle them back into my library to play all over again to keep the game going. after I get massive amounts of monsters out, tagged with counter spells in my hand to and capsize cards, I would summon day of the dragons, turn all my monsters into 5/5 red flying dragons while enchantment is still active -
and the sweetest thing is that if I needed my dragons back after they died, I'd ressurect all of them by capsizing the day of the dragons card and my monsters would return to play and I'd cast it once more, I also had this token card that shot out 1/1 guys like crazy, plus I would gain so much life, it was intenesly wicked.
I mean, the units were free, affinity, plus a bunch of artifact-rigged combos matched with a deadly blue and black deck, hit around 40-60 cards in the deck, you get the nicest rare cards going with all artifact lands and counter spells, it was ownage on a ton of games.
after I lost the deck 'cuz I left it over at a friend's house, they dissembled the deck and I couldn't find the card I needed... my reign of torture ended. that was back in high school though, I can't plaly MTG anymore since I don't have the patience, I'd rather get high on Starcraft, trance music and parties as well.

Mirroden was the most broken block since Urza's block. And I have practically no idea what cards you were talking about either. I started playing when Betrayers of Kamigawa came out, and hated Mirroden and was damn happy when it cycled out of Type 2.
