What is MSGSRV32.exe? ****FIXED****

After I run Diablo II this starts up and eats all my processor usage and slows my system to a slug. I then have to reboot :( What is it and why is it killing my system?

Do you have an SB Live Value? I had this probelm until I correctly installed the drivers for it.

Yes I do. What did you do to fix this? I'm glad to hear from someone with experience..
I resintalled my SB Live! drivers with the latest ones from sblive.com and tried again and no solution. I think it is a Direct 3D problem because it seems to take my framerate down a ton... (10fps at some points) And I'm using a Geforce 2 GTS... I've tried many versions of nvidia's drivers, also with Asus's drivers... (it's a v7700 pure). The thing that bugs me though is that even after the game is closed msgsrv32 still continues to use up my processor... I'm using the latest version of Direct X... oh and I'm using a Abit KT7 non-raid..

I manually downloaded the LiveWare 3.0 drivers and installed them and it fixed the probelm, so I know it was related to the SB Live Value! I was having a probelm because my SB Live was not getting detected because the drivers that were sent on the CD were messed up.

MSGSRV32.exe is a Windows 32-bit VxD Message Server(whatever that means)....my guess MSN Messenger.

Well I figured out how to end task it and I did. It fixed the problem immediately. Does anyone know how I can prevent it from even every running? It is a pain to end task it everytime I boot up...

MSN Messenger has a totally different file name.

It IS NOT MSN Messenger.

It is part of the Windows operating system, and you shouldn't have to stop it from ever running, nor should you try to.

Does this happen in both ME and Windows 2000?

Is your system showing any other signs of problems?

I'm using Win98SE now... it fixes the problem. What is the reason it slows my system... it seemed to not be doing anything else....

Damn... well MS needs to shape up and fix their stuff... it is annoying ending it everytime I boot.

try removing nic and / or modem and drivers. Then in add/remove proggies, uninstall all networking stuff. Reinstall hardware and drivers , then reinstall networking components in Windows setup.

I think that saw that problem on a friends comp. Open it up and guess what!! She had another PCI card in the first PCI slot and that slot share with the AGP slot. But that might not be your problems though.
